Jalpur Mulled Wine Spice Kit - 7 Ingredients for Making Mulled Wine

Amazing value for an amazing kit. All spice ingredients to make Mulled Spiced Wine. This Kit includes raw ingredients to make Mulled Wine as well as Mulled Wine Spice. You have the option to use both. The Mulled Wine Spice - 50g contains Cassia, Lemon Peel, Organge Peel, Nutmeg, Cloves & Allspice.

Serves 8-10

125g Brown or White Sugar

1 large orange , zest strips and juice

Several cloves (Approx 5-6)

2 cinnamon sticks 

1 star anise 

3-4 Bay Leaves

¼tsp freshly grated nutmeg 

1tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract 

2 bottles red wine 

Recipe Instructions

In a large heavy-based pan, add the orange, 2/3's sugar, 3-4 Whole bay leaves, cloves, star anise, 1 cinnamon stick, vanilla (half & scraped) and one of the bottles of red wine. Heat gently, stirring once or twice, until the sugar has dissolved. Continue heating gently for another 15 minutes. Now add 1 more Cinnamon Stick. Stir in the rest of the red wine. Gently simmer for a 2-3 minutes. Finally grate half the Nutmeg & remaining Sugar (1/3) according to taste and contimue simmering for 2 minutes. Serve in heatproof festive glasses and serve.

The Mulled Wine Spice Ground can be used as a substitute for some spices. This can be added in at first stage of heating.
